Book Your Move

FAQ

  • What if I have more than I anticipated?

This is always a possibility and happens often. Communication and flexibility is the key to reducing move stress in this situation. Our admins will reach out to you multiple times before move day to ensure accuracy in the amount of furniture as well as details about each piece if needed as well as a box count. If you notice more or even less than expected please let us know in advance so we may do our best to adjust and ensure a quality move. Remember that our objective is your objective and that is a safe and efficient move.

  • Do the movers accept tips? If so, what is the average tip?

YES! Gratuity, if earned, is extremely appreciated. With gratuity you can tip a percentage of the entire bill. Like you would someone in the service industry or an average of $5-$10 per mover per hour worked depending on the move itself and what you can afford.

We understand not everyone is able to offer more and it is in instances like that a friendly face and a smile is all we need.

  • Pricing? Why don’t you show pricing? - Because every move is unique

EVERY MOVE IS UNIQUE! In years past companies would give flat rates or bargain pricing based on the skill level of the movers needed. As well as other factors, if the job seemed hard, if they liked you as a customer, how much the broker and driver wanted to make off the move and pay their labor.

BEK does not operate in that fashion. Our movers are highly skilled and go through an intense training program to ensure their skill and quality of work.

Our hourly rates are fixed but as with each move your quote will be different and unique. We will not offer a quick quote or just give out pricing until we have completed a thorough assessment of your move and how we can best help.

  • Do you move out of state? How far do you move?

Yes, we will take you anywhere in the continental USA and when we start living on the moon our crews will take you there as well.

  • Do I have to fill out your questionnaire?

YES, our questionnaire has been developed through many years of moving experience and is constantly being evaluated to ensure that we obtain details that can be pivotal in the success of your move. Whether you call in or email, we will take you through our process of assessing your move.

  • Why do you guys ask so many questions other companies don’t?

Details. A large portion of our success is in the details other companies do not seek. Not every move is the same and not every mover has the same skill set. Each BEK crew is designed and put together to compliment your specific move. Our questions allow us to determine the best possible crew to ensure the best possible move.

  • How experienced are your moving crews?

On average our 22 movers have 3.5 years of experience. All our managers have over 10 years in the industry. Our crews of movers range from 1-7 years of being on the trucks. Each employee is trained for over 100 hours before a customer will pay for their work.

  • Can you guarantee that there will be no damages?

We wish we could, but this is impossible. Things happen. Mistakes happen. Life happens. All we can promise is that our crews take tremendous pride in their work and have a success rate of over 98% in completing a move with no damages. However, damage can occur and if BEK is negligent we will work out a solution to leave you satisfied.

  • If a damage occurs, how do you proceed?

Often our movers will spot a damage if one happens and immediately report it to our Operations team. We then jump into action on figuring out a solution. Is it something we can easily fix? Is there a simple solution of taking a small deduction off the bill? Finally, will it need to be repaired or replaced? We work with industry professionals who can assist in repairing most damages. As of today we have been successful in satisfying any and all issues that may have arrived from a move.

  • Do I have to empty out all of my furniture, dressers, fridge, freezer, etc.?

Yes, furniture is best moved the way the manufacturer designed it. Empty and protected.

  • What items should I have independently boxed or created?

Glass or stone should always be prepared, packed, or created independently. Fragile vases, lamps, pictures, or art should all be prepared, packed, or created independently.

  • What size trucks does your company operate with?

26ft box trucks are standard for all moves unless specifically requested or needed for access purposes.

  • Are you able to hold my belongings overnight?

Yes, we have overnight fees. Typically, we do not hold belongings longer than 2 days.

  • Do you offer storage?

No, not as of right now. We are looking to expand and will have storage in our future.

  • How soon should I book my move?

The sooner the better! Once you feel comfortable with your moving company, make the commitment to work with them immediately. It is much easier to work with a customer as changes happen once you commit than it is to wait until the last second and hope there is availability in the schedule.
